Carol Rainey Garnere
November 12, 1941-May 5, 2018
Middletown, NY
Carol Rainey Garnere transitioned home to be with the Lord on May 5, 2018.
Carol retired as a medical records supervisor from Mid-Hudson Psychiatric Center, and also worked at the unemployment office for Middletown Psychiatric Center. Carol immensely enjoyed working in the storehouse for the Lord. She further enjoyed the numerous friends she had the pleasure of meeting online to play games with.
1 Thessalonians, Chapter 4, verses 13 &14
“But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus, will God bring with Him”.
Carol leaves her siblings; Carolyn Mann of Las Vegas, NV, Gladys Warner of Freeport, IL, Luella Gooden of Middletown, NY, Leslie Lewis (Wendy) of Hartford, CT, Geneva Robinson (Larry) of Clinton, NC and Kym Kennedy of Atlanta, GA. She is further survived by her aunt Ina Rainey of Deltona, FL; her special loved ones, Todd Gooden, Maxi Naimah Warner-Rasheed, Aja Beam, Kassie Garnere, Krystal Garnere and Paul and Laurie Garnere; her church families, First Baptist Church of Monticello, NY and St. John AME Zion Church of Middletown; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her parents Frances Patterson Lewis and Fletcher Rainey and siblings, William Lewis, Margaret Burns, David Lewis, Fletcher Rainey II and Patricia Clark.
Services will take place at a later date at the convenience of the family.
