Carol Ann Smith of Ellenville NY, died on Friday February 24 at Orange Regional Medical Center Middletown, NY. She was 68.

The daughter of the late Allen and Helen Van Sickle Jones she was born on September 5, 1943 in Middletown,

Carol married Clayton E. Smith and they shared 47 years of marriage together.

She loved family gatherings and being with her husband, children, grandchildren and extended family. She cooked all the time for everyone, and was both and amazing cook and baker. Carol was a huge Mets fan her entire life.

In addition to her loving husband Clayton at home, Carol is survived by her three children, Mark and his wife Lisa, Cheri Scott and her husband Robert and Chad and his fiancé Rosa Torres; her brother, Allen "Chuck" Jones, and sister Sandra Slane and her husband Eddie. She was the beloved grandmother of Elena "Nikki" Smith, Jessica Scott, Erik Scott, Cameron Smith and Zachary Smith; and great grandmother to Alexia Scott and Amelia Torres. She is also survived by Valerie Ann and Diana Slane as well many other nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm on Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc., 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940. A Celebration of Carol's life will be held at 8:30 on Tuesday evening at the funeral home.

Cremation will be private at Cedar Hill Crematory.

Contributions may be made to the family at 58 Warren Street, Ellenville, NY 12428. Funeral arrangements under the direction of Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home.

Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm on Tues., Feb. 28th at the funeral home
