Obituary for Carmella Della Ratta
Carmella Della Ratta, a longtime area resident, died Friday, October 13, 2006 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House, Newburgh. She was 89 years old. The daughter of the late Angelo and Mary Dispensa, she was born on May 5, 1917 in Springfield, MA. She is survived by her two beloved grandsons, Daniel McCauley and Kenneth Wolff both of Middletown and one daughter in law Jeannette Scozzari of Middletown. She was predeceased by her daughter Rose Betta, her son Louis Scozzari and her brother Al Dipensa. Cremation will be held privately and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc.
