Obituary for Carlos J. Diaz
Carlos J. Diaz, an eleven year Middletown resident, died Friday, January 20, 2006 at Orange Regional medical Center, Horton Campus. He was 52 years old.
The son of Carlos Luis Diaz of Middletown and the late Jennie Santiago Diaz, Carlos was born on November 5, 1953 in the Bronx. Carlos served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1971-1973 and was married to the former Ann Marie Stark, with whom he just renewed his wedding vows at the end of last December. Carlos moved to Middletown from Binghampton in 1995 and was a sheetmetal worker in New York City. A family statement reads:” Carlos was a loving and caring person who will be dearly missed”.
Besides his father of Middletown, Carlos is survived by his wife Ann Marie of Middletown; four children, Joel, Damian, Jillian and Susan Diaz; two step-children, Ionia Lewis and Jake Jason Caputo; two sisters, Rose Diaz and Rita Torres; one brother, Ronald Diaz; several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many dear friends. Carlos was predeceased by one brother, Richard in 1995
Family and friends may visit on Monday, January 23, 2006 from 12pm till 2pm at Applebee
McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc., 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, where funeral services will follow at 2pm. Cremation will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc.
