Bryan Nicholas McGeady
June 6, 1983-January 5, 2018
Middletown, NY/Land O Lakes, FL
Bryan passed away suddenly at his home in Florida on Friday, January 5, 2018.
Bryan is survived by his loving parents Susan and Robert McGeady of Middletown, older brother Matthew, his wife Amy and their two children, Daniel and Isabel McGeady(Bryan's goddaughter) and his younger brother and "right hand man for a lifetime" Gregory McGeady, all of Clifton Park; his younger sister, Juliane McGeady and her fiance Vincent Doran of Centereach; Grandmother Ann Garen of Middletown and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He attended Middletown HS where he played baseball growing up and was known by many of his friends as "Speedy McGeady". He was a loyal and true friend who would give you the shirt off his back and was loved by many.
Our Bryan was a beautiful man inside and out who always put his family first. A man who worked hard, lived simply and just wanted a little piece of the dream. Bryan loved sports especially the Atlanta Braves. He loved softball, kayaking, dogs and he was so proud of his fish tank which was always the focal point of his home.
Bryan was a restaurant manager at Ukeleles Brand in Land of Lakes, FL. The outpouring of love by his Uke's family has been overwhelming and we will never forget the love and comfort we received.
We are comforted in knowing he is in the arms of the Lord and was greeted by family and friends and reunited with his beloved dogs Lucy(Big L) and Larry.
Bryan always knew how to put a smile on our faces, from a phone call that started with "Yo B" to talking about battles and baseball with his brothers and always making sure his family was happy. He will forever be our B- Bop. We love you to the moon and back.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm on Thursday, January 11 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc, 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940. A Celebration of Bryan' s Life will be held at 8:30 pm on Thursday evening at the funeral home.
Bryan had such a love of animals, donations in his name may be made to Pets Alive, 363 Derby Road, Middletown, NY 10940.
