Barry Allen Blake, 70 passed away on 2/14/2023 at Garnet Health Center Middletown NY.
He was Born on 11/7/1952 To the Late James Blake and Mildred Goetchius in Suffern NY.
Barry is pre-deceased by his loving wife Linda P. Blake. They were Married on 9/4/1976.
Barry dedicated his life to giving back. He served in the U.S Navy and is a lifetime member and
Past Chief of the Circleville Fire department and current Active member of the Washington
Heights fire department which he joined after his brother John passed away in 2017.
Barry could often be seen cooking for 4-H events at the orange county Fair. Cheering (yelling)
at his grandkids youth games or having a few pulls of the slot machines in Monticello. But as
soon as those fire tones dropped, he was out the door doing anything he could to assist those in
need.
Barry was pre-deceased by younger sister. Donna Hadden and his younger brother John Blake
Sr. His surviving sister Mary Goodman resides in Baltimore, MD.
Barry has 3 daughters.
Jessica Welsh and her husband Thomas. Lisa Blake and her Husband Michael Centorcilli and
Kristen Blake and her husband Matthew DiMartino
Granddaughters: Ashley Chabut and her wife Katrina, Jaylee Chabut, Jackie Welsh, Alyssa
Welsh and Ava Centorcilli.
Grandsons: Braiden Carney, Braiden Dimartino, Cameron Dimartino and Tyler Dimartino.
And the light of his little eyes great-grand son Daniel Dailey the 4th.
We would like to thank his nephew Daniel Blake and his Fiancé , Phyllis Laughman for all they
did for Barry since Linda passed away in 2021.
Barry’s family would also like to thank the Fire Department and EMS and everyone who has helped
dad over the last two years since Linda passed away. Your everlasting support is something that
does not go unnoticed.
A Visitation will be held on Friday, 2/17/23 from 4-8pm at Applebee McPhillips Funeral Home 130
Highland Ave. Middletown NY. There will be a Firematic Service held at 7pm.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday 2/18/23 at 11am at the Funeral Home.
Burial is at the convenience of the family.
