Obituary for Barbara E. Zane
Barbara E. Zane, a longtime area resident died Wednesday, May 10, 2006 at O.R.M.C. Horton Campus after a short illness. She was 63 years old.
The daughter of the late Jack Everingham and Irene Dudasch, she was born February 10, 1943 in New York City.
She married Edward F. Zane on May 20, 1967 in Manhattan, who predeceased her on September 2, 1995.
A family statement reads, “Barbara was a caring and faithful friend who was there whenever someone needed her. Her grandchildren were the light of her life. The family would like to thank her devoted friends for their support and visits. They were a comnfort to her and our family. We are very grateful for them.”
She is survived by her loving sons, John and his wife, Roberta, and Michael and his fiancee, Michelle; six beloved grandchildren Roberta, Emmit, Edward, Liam, Amber, and Christopher; two sisters Carol Ragab and her husband, Wael, and Elaine Panson; and one niece and one nephew.
Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, May 12th [today] from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc. 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown.
A funeral service of remembrance will take place on Friday evening at 8:15
pm with Fr. Dennis Nikolic officiating. Burial will follow in the family plot on Saturday, May 13th at 10:30 am at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Middletown.
