Obituary for Arnold J. Cerasoli, M.D.
Arnold J. Cerasoli, MD, an area resident died Wednesday, January 4, 2006 at his home, surrounded by his family. He was 86 years old.
The son of the late Roger and Pia Cerasoli, Arnold was born July 18, 1919 in New York City.
A Veteran of WWII, he proudly served his country in the United States Army as a Captain in the medical corp..
A family statement reads, “Arnold enjoyed music, good food, gardening and his beautiful home. He played the organ, collected antiques and loved family trips to Vermont and Italy. Prior to his retirement in 1989, he was a dedicated and excellent doctor who often made housecalls to his many patients. The greatest love of his life was his wife Tina, and his family, especially his grandchildren.”
He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Tina, at home; three daughters, Cecilia Cerasoli of Charleston, SC,Camille Meola and her husband, Alfred, of Port Chester, Genevieve Cerasoli and her husband John Maraldo, of Circleville; four grandchildren Flavia Feltner, Dena D’Aquanni, Sally Maraldo, Michael Maraldo; and one great granddaughter Cecilia Ann Feltner.
Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, January 6th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc. 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 7th at 11 am at St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church, Bullville.
Burial will follow in the family plot in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Middletown.
Memorial contributions in Arnold’s name may be made to either the Children’s Cancer Fund, P.O. Box 658, Milwood, NY 10546 or to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 1311 Mamaroneck Avenue, White Plains, NY 10605.
