Obituary for Antonio Ciccone
Antonio Ciccone, 74, of Scotchtown, NY passed away Monday October 19, 2009. The son of the late Annina Silvestri Ciccone and Nicola Ciccone, Antonio was born on June 13, 1935 in Pacentro, Italy. Antonio left Italy at age fourteen to go to Caracus Venezula.1969 he moved to Paterson NJ and married his loving wife Maria Emilia Rossi Ciccone in September 1971. He later moved his family to Scotchtown.

Antonio is survived by his daughter Anna Maria and his son Carmine of Scotchtown, his sisters Flora Rubino of Pacentro Italy, and Amelia and her husband Mario Agostinelli of Verona NJ, and sister in law Francesca Ciccone from Corapolis Pa. He was Godfather to Orazio Marinucci of Caracus Venezula, and leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

Antonio was predeceased by his beloved wife Maria in May of last year. He was also predeceased two sisters Palmina Lucci and Angelina Cirillo, brother Luigi, loving brother in laws Frank Lucci and Ernesto Rubino.

He loved western movies, playing scopa with his nephew Tony and brother in law Frank, watching the Yankees and Juventus. He especially enjoyed Sunday dinner where he could share his infectious laugh, wonderful stories, homemade pasta and handcrafted wine with his family and friends. He is one of a kind and leaves a legacy for his family and friends. Although our time was short- we knew we had the greatest father any two children could ever wish for. So, papa we carry your heart with us forever.

Visitation hours are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm on Thursday, October 22, 2009 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc., 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 23, 2009 at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church, 114 Cottage Street, Middletown, NY 10940. Entombment will follow at the Mary Queen of Peace Mausoleum at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, 149 Cottage Street, Middletown, NY 10940. Arrangements under the direction of Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc, 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown,NY.
