Antoinette Schumaci of Middletown, died on Saturday April 23 at O.R.M.C., Horton Campus in Middletown. She was 91.
The daughter of the late Domenico and Maria Anna Cristello Massaro, she was born on April 30, 1919 in Middletown, NY. Antoinette was a proud lifetime resident of Middletown, and was a dedicated member of St. Joseph's Church. She married John Schumaci on February 14, 1936. She was devoted to her family, friends and her community.
She is survived by her children; Michael and his wife Linda, John and his wife Roseann, Annette Glielmi and her husband Robert, JoAnne Polito and her husband Anthony, of Middletown and Louis Schumaci of Manhattan; and four beloved grandchildren, Jena Karp and her husband Kevin, Deanna Martinez and her husband Louis, John Schumaci and Michaela Schumaci; and two great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, John Schumaci in 1983, and her brothers, Louis and Michael.
Visitation hours are from 4 to 8 pm on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc, 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Thursday, April 28, 2011 at St. Joseph's R.C. Church, 149 Cottage Street, Middletown, NY 10940. Burial will follow in the family plot in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc.
