Obituary for Anthony Peter Lapadura
Anthony Lapadura
December 21, 1943-March 27, 2018
Middletown, NY
Anthony Peter Lapadura entered into rest on the 27th day of March,
2018 at Orange Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loved ones.
He was 74.
The son of the late Salvatore and Frances Savasta Lapadura, he was
born on December 31, 1943 in Passaic, NJ. In 1967, he enlisted in the
US Army and proudly served his country in the Vietnam War. He married
Marjory Molinelli on July 8, 1972 and soon after settled in
Middletown, NY to raise their family. A butcher by trade, he worked
for Grand Union and eventually for Stop and Shop. A hard worker, he
was well respected in his field. Until his death, he faithfully
served as an usher at the 11:30 am Sunday mass at Our lady of Mt.
Carmel Church. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 151
and Disabled American Veterans (DAV). An avid walker, he was well
known for his fast paced six miles a day walk at both the trail in
Goshen and the Galleria at Crystal Run Mall. People marveled at his
endurance as much younger folks couldn't keep up with him.
He is survived by the loves of his life, his wife Marjory, his
daughters, Laurette (Gregg) and Marissa (Craig) and his beloved
grandchildren Alex, Drew and Shea who will always remember playing
plunger hockey with their Grandpa Tony. At his death he was eagerly
awaiting the birth of his 4th grandchild a little girl to be named
Francesca. He is also survived by his beloved brother-in-law and
sister-in-law Louis and Barbara Molinelli.
His easy laugh and sense of humor will be missed. He was dearly loved.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 pm on Monday, April 2, 2018 at
