Anthony M. Motola of Pine Bush NY, died on Sunday March 18th at O.R.M.C., Arden Hill Campus in Goshen, NY. He was 85.
The son of the late Maurizo and Adelina Del’Aquila Motola, he was born on September 4, 1921 in New York City. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II. A resident of the area since 1970, Anthony worked as a driver for 48 years for Queens Farms Dairy.
A family statement reads," He was a giving and compassionate man, whose family, and their needs, always came first. He was a loving husband for 56 years, and a warm and caring father, grandfather and great-grandfather."
Anthony is survived by his beloved wife, Grace Alberti Motola, at home; sons, Steven and his wife Sherry of Bullville, Anthony and his wife Wei, and Julian and wife Michelle, all of Montgomery; his daughter, Madeline and her husband Timothy of Montgomery; grandchildren, Julian, Nicholas, Marco, Chris, Anthony, Melissa, Alessandra, Timothy and Amy, two great-grandchildren, Keely and Gage, and and his dear former daughter in law, Luz Maria. He was predeceased by one son, Phillip.Â
Family and friends are invited to call, Wednesday, March 21 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home 130 Highland Ave. Middletown, NY. The funeral service will be held Thursday,March 22 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Orange County Veteran's Cemetery, Craigville Road, Goshen, NY.Â
