Anthony Jerome Stevens “Smoothe” , of Pine Bush died Thursday, January 24, 2013 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Middletown NY on July 11, 1946 to the late George and Annetta Stevens. He was a retired Corrections Lieutenant from Shawangunk Correctional Facility.
Smoothe is survived by his loving wife Ingrid; sons Aaron and his wife Marisa of Bloomingburg, Aric and his fiancé Aarica of Bloomingburg, Anthony and his wife Margaret of Pine Bush; daughter Davette Bellamy and husband Lee of VA; brothers George Lawrence and his wife Linda of TX, and George Henry Jr. of Newburgh; sister Geraldine Greer of Middletown; grandchildren Aubree, Javani, Ashine, A.J., Carol Ann, Aayden, Aaria, Akira, Stephon, Dusean and beloved dog Puggy. He was predeceased by his parents, sister Marva Crump, brothers Darryl Stevens and William Grey.
Visitation hours will be 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Friday, February 1, 2013 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc. 130 Highland Ave. Middletown, NY 10940. A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, February 2, at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at the Orange County Veterans Cemetery, 111 Craigville Rd. Goshen, NY
