Anne Regan, a former resident of Middletown, died on March 18, 2013 at Carriage Court Assisted Living Facility in Grove City, Ohio. She was 89.
The daughter of the late Chester and Josephine Matuszewska Szachacz, she was born on March 31, 1923 in Maspeth, NY. Anne was the wife of Stephen Gerard Regan, a World War II veteran who predeceased her in 1965. During her lifetime, she most enjoyed helping out at her brother’s grarage in Hicksville, NY. She was a spiritual woman who was a former member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Middletown.
Anne is survived by her daughters, Ann Wilson and her husband Robert of Bloomingburg, Margaret Leonard and her husband John of Columbus, OH and Stephanie Lepper and her husband Michael of Milford, PA; two brothers, Stephen of Long Island and Charles of PA; and seven beloved grandchildren, Gregory, Cheryl, Jeffrey, Daniel, Jennifer, Stephen and Katie as well as four great-grandchildren.
Visitation hours are from 2 to 4 pm on Sunday, March 24, 2013 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc., 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 am at St. Joseph’s Church, 149 Cottage Street, Middletown, NY 10940. Burial will follow in Long Island National Cemetery, Pine Lawn, NY.
Arrangements are under the direction of Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc.
