Obituary for Anne McGovern
Anne McGovern died Thursday, October 12, 2006 at Calvary Hospital in the Bronx, NY. The daughter of the late Terence and Mary T. Kiernan McGovern, Anne was born in County Cavan, Ireland. She worked in the Bank of New York for over 45 years in the corporate account services. A family statement reads,”Anne was a deeply spiritual and prayerful woman. She had the good fortune to travel around the world during her lifetime but her most memorable times were those she spent with her loving family.” Anne is survived by two brothers, Felix McGovern of County Cavan, Ireland, Tommy McGovern of Bristol, England; two sisters, Josephine Glennon of Kent, England, Margaret Nobile and her husband, Bill of Middletown; and many nieces and nephews, as well as grand nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to visit from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc. 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, October 14th at 8:30 am at our Lady of Mount Carmel Church with Fr. Patrick Cullen officiating, and Fr. Frank Dixon concelebrating. Burial will follow in the family plot at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.
