Obituary for Ann Martin
Ann Martin, a lifetime area resident died Thursday, August 24, 2006 at the Carlucci Home, after a long illness.  She was 79 years old. The daughter of the late Martin and Katharine Carmody O’Haire, Ann was born August 14, 1927 in Maybrook, NY. Ann was a kind hearted person who took pride in her work and was devited to her family.  She was truly a generous soul and will be dearly missed. Ann always enjoyed her Saturday afternoons with the girls at Joanne’s Hair Salon. She is survived by her sister, Mary Perna and her husband, Vincent; six nieces and nephews Kathryn Bendlin, Mary Wilkins, Dawn Gray, Joseph Perna, and Vincent Perna, Jr., Virginia O’Haire-Turkowski and their families; two stepchildren Pamela Martin and James Martin, Jr.  She will also be fondly remembered by her friends at the Carlucci Home. Ann was predeceaded by her beloved husband James H. Martin and her three brothers John, Joseph, and James O’Haire. Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, August 29, 2006 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at Applebee-McPHillips Funeral Home, Inc.  130 Highland Avenue, Middletown. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 30, 2006 at 10 am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 90 Euclid Avenue, Middletown.  Fr. James Hess will officiate. Burial will follow in the family plot at Bloomingburg Rural Cemetery, Bloomingburg, NY.

Memorial contributions in Ann’s name may be made to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties, 800 Stony Brook Court, Newburgh, NY 12550.Arrangments under the direction of Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc.
