The life of Amanda Leigh Johnson-Pumillo was ended tragically and unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 in her own home. She was 45.
Amanda was the beloved daughter of Harold W. Johnson and Joyce Dana, she was born on April 20, 1973 in Suffern, NY. She was a caring person, who was perfectly suited to be a nurse. Amanda was the devoted wife of Francis Pumillo.
Amanda was a great daughter, sister aunt and friend who was loyal to everyone she loved. Her family and friends are devasted by the fact that her life was taken by someone she had loved so dearly. Her joyful spirit and memory will always be cherished.
Amanda is survived by her mother, Joyce Dana, siblings Becky Johnson, Sean P. Kelly and Kristin Kelly, and Jessica Richmond and stepfather Michael P. Kelly. She is also survived by her close friend Michelle Evans and a stepdaughter, Brianna Pumillo, as well as her nieces Lydia and Lana and nephew Dimitri and her loving bird Eddie.
She was predeceased by her father Harold and a brother, Harold “Boogie” Johnson.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc, 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940. A Celebration of Amanda’s Life will be held at 8:30 pm on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at the funeral home. Cremation will be private and at the convenience of the family.
