Allan Cardona of Middletown, died unexpectedly on Saturday, November 10, 2012 in Middletown as the result of a brutal homicide. He was 46.
The son of Arcesio and Fanny Anzola Cardona, he was born on March 6, 1966 in Queens. Allan moved to the Middletown area in 2000 from East Rockaway, Long Island.
Allan was a proud and loving father whose family and friends always came first. He enjoyed being a joker and making others laugh. His nephews and nieces adored him. Allan loved fishing, off roading in his jeep(the bumblebee) and watching sports. He was a great fan of the Jets, Yankees and the Knicks. His family and friends will forever remember him as a warm and loving man who was always there to help someone else. The shock of his death has been felt throughout the community.
Allan is survived by his parents, Arcesio and Fanny of Middletown; his wife and partner, Jean Collazo; one beloved son Brandon Anthony; three brothers, George I. of Texas; Mario H. of CT, and Julian and his wife Maryann of PA; one sister, Martha Brand and her husband Diego of Long Island; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm on Friday, November 16, 2012 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc., 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 am on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at St. Joseph's R.C. Church, 149 Cottage Street, Middletown, NY 10940, Fr. Dennis Nikolic will officiate. Cremation will be private.
