Alexander Diem died unexpectedly on Friday, August 31, 2018 in Middletown. He was 17 years old.
The son of Barbara Diem and John Diem, he was born on November 23rd, 2000 in Warwick, NY. Alex graduated from Middletown Schools and was planning to join the military in November and pursue a career in social work to help troubled youth after serving.
Alexander is a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and uncle. He is survived by his parents, Barbara and John Diem of Middletown; his siblings, Danny, Olivia, John Louis, and Aaron Lee; his step-parents John Liporace and Amalyn Diem, and step-siblings Megan and Matthew.
Alex's family is still morning the sudden loss of his older brother, Christopher John Diem in April of last year. The loss of Alex has been both overwhelming and unbelievable.
Visitation for Alex will take place on Friday, September 7th from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc., 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940. A Celebration of Life will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, September 8th at 10:00 AM.
Burial will follow in the family plot in Wallkill Cemetery.
