Alejandro S. Herrera, 88, of Middletown died on February 6, 2011 at O.R.M.C, Horton Campus in Middletown.
The son of the late Isabel Barahona and Hermino Herrera, he was born on February 18, 1922 in Canete, Peru. He married Petrolina Mondragon 43 years ago in Peru. Petrolina and Alejandro came to the U.S. together on September 26, 1981.
Inaddition to his loving wife, Petrolina, he is survived by his sonAlvaro and his wife Michelle; daughter, Mirtha Candiotti and her husband Miguel and Alexandra Senande and her husband Javier, all of Middletown. His brother, Luis and his wife Teresa; sister, Maximina Chero and grandchildren, Christian, Kevin, Alejandro, Alexis, and Isabella and great-granddaughter Mariah also survive him.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 pm on Friday, February 11, 2011 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 am on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at St. Joseph's Church, 149 Cottage Street, Middletown, NY 10940. Cremation will be private.
