Obituary for Pelina F Casimir
Pelina Francois Casimir, a resident of Middletown, went to be with her Lord on February 22, 2022 after a short illness at Garnet Medical Center.
The daughter of Alexis Francois and Louisa Jean Louis, she was born in Milot, Haiti on December 3, 1925.
A very spiritual and religious woman, her faith was paramount in her life. A dedicated parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church, she was generous with everyone., especially saving things for her friends in Haiti. She was an avid television fan, loved to cook for family and we will all miss her beautiful singing.
Pelina is survived by her six children; Philocles Casimir (Irme) in Philadelphia PA , Fritz Casimir of Newburgh, Alex Casimir (Rose) of Middletown, Fortuna Casimir of NYC, Marie LeRouge (Jean) of Middletown, Denise Zemar
(Nesly) of New Windsor, NY and half sister, Leinie.
She is also survived by many cherished grandchildren; Herns, Kenneth, Ashley, Masianne, Carma, Jean, Donald, James, Patrick, Andrew, Diane, Jasmine, Louise, Juersy, Paulson, Natalie, Densley, Anix, Stanley and Shandy.
She was predeceased by her brother Serge,sister Jeanette and grandson, Moses.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 4, 2022 from 6-9 pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at 11 am at the Church of St. Joseph, 149 Cottage Street, Middletown, NY 10940.
Burial will take place in the family plot in St. Joseph’s R.C. Cemetery.
