Anna Rescigno, a longtime Blooming Grove resident, died on Monday, July 19, 201 at Middletown Park Manor Rehabilitation Center. She was 77.
The daughter of the late John and Rose Florio Limitone, she was born on October 4, 1932 in the Bronx. She was the wife of John J. Rescigno, who predeceased her on May 11, 1995.
Anna was an avid Mets fan, like the rest of her family. She enjoyed traveling to Atlantic City and going to casinos. She loved reading and was very knowledgeable about a large range of subjects. Anna was a very caring person who was like a mother to her grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving son, John J. Rescigno, Jr, granddaughter Alicia and grandson John J. Rescigno III.
Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 pm on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc., 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY. A Funeral Service will be held at 10 am on Thursday, July 22, 2010 at the funeral home, burial will follow in the family plot in St. Mary's Cemetery in Washingtonville, NY.
