Teresa A. Hazard, a forty year resident of the area, died unexpectedly at her home in Scotchtown on Friday, August 18, 2017. She was 75.
The daughter of the late Philip and Margaret Dossire Buonaugurio, she was born on May 23, 1942 in Rochester, NY.
Teresa worked for Friendly’s as a regional manager for many years and then for Duso Food Industries until her untimely death. She was a hard-working and dedicated woman who enjoyed trips to the city for musicals and shows, scrapbooking gardening and crafts. Of all of her pastimes, the hours she spent with her grandchildren she cherished the most. She will be sorely missed.
Teresa is survived by her three children: Thomas and his wife, Maura of Warwick RI, Terriann Anderson and her husband, David of Middletown and Todd and his wife, Debra of Cornwall, NY. She is also survived by her adored five grandchildren: Ryan, Cassidy, and William Hazard, and and Eric and Kyle Anderson; a sister-in-law, Charlene Buonaugurio of Rochester; a niece, Lisa Swartz and nephew, John Buonaugurio and her loyal feline, Bella.
Teresa was predeceased by her brother, Charles.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on August 22 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, 130 Highland Ave., Middletown, NY. A Service of Remembrance will take place at 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
