Rose Nicodema, a retired Customer Service Representativve for Sears Corporate Offices in Nanuet, died following a long illness surrounded by her loving family on Monday, May 15, 2017 at Orange Regional Medical Center. She was 90.
Rose was born on May 20, 1926 in New York City, she married Mario Nicodema in 1941. Rose moved to the Middletown area after the death of her husband in 2002. She was a generous and loving mother and grandmother. Along with her husband , she enjoyed her friends and loved to travel, especially to Cape Cod to spend time with family and friends. She was an avid reader.
Rose is survived by her children, Maryanne Dulaney and her husband Stanley of Middletown and her son Michael N. Nicodema and his wife Natalie of Pearl River; and her beloved grandchildren, Christine Fratto and her husband John and Scott Dulaney and his wife Dara and Christina Nicodema and Andrew Nicodema. Rose is also survived by five great-grandchildren, Ross and his wife Allison, John and his wife Laura, and Christopher Fratto and Colin, Julian Dulaney and three great-great grandchildren, Rylie, Ross, and Gabriella Fratto.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Nicholas Percorella.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 pm on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc, 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 am on Friday, May 19, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 149 Cottage Street, Middletown, Ny 10940. Burial will follow in the family plot in St. Anthony’s Cemetery in Nanuet, NY.
