Markos Allen, a lifetime area resident, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 14, 2017 in Middletown. He was 26.
The son of James R. and Mara Vassiloglou Allen, he was born on September 5, 1990 in Middletown, NY. Markos was a graduate of Goshen High School and earned his Bachelors degree from Iona College. He was a bright and talented young man who had a great sense of humor. He could speak both Greek and Japanese and was well traveled throughout Europe and the Middle East. Markos played piano and also produced music compilations. He recently worked in EMB management for WRS in Goshen.
Markos is survived by his loving family, his parents, James and Mara Allen, and his brother, Jordan Allen of Middletown. He is also survived by many friends, including his beloved girlfriend, Carli Mei.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm on Friday, April 21 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc, 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940. A Celebration of Markos’ Life will be held at 7:30 pm Friday at the funeral home. Cremation will be private. www.applebee-mcphillips.com
