Judith M Carr, 73, passed away July 19, 2017 at Highland Rehab and Nursing Center peacefully with family by her side.
Judy was born December 18, 1943 in Middletown NY to the late Clyde Charles Moore and Frances Esther Young.
Judy was the widower of the late Edward J Carr Sr. who died on May 19, 2016. They had just celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary on March 23rd.
Judy met the love of her life and shortly thereafter he went into the Air Force. She became a Military Bride on March 23, 1963 in Texas. They then traveled to the Netherlands with their first-born son for a period. When they returned they brought 2 sons home with them.
Judy enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing, camping, boating, & teaching the boys to water ski at Swinging Bridge Lake. All the while she worked as a cashier for Lloyds, then for the Bank of New York, Chase and ultimately retiring. After retiring she decided to go to work for the Town of Deerpark with the building department. She just couldn’t sit still in retirement. Always on the move.
Survivors are: her sons, Edward Jr and his wife Cheryl of Sparrowbush, James and his wife Tammy of Westbrookville; Grandchildren: Lisa, Melissa, Zoey, Andy, Ryan, Tiffany, Nicole and James Jr.; Great-Grandchildren: William, Nicholas, Allison, Emma, Cayden, Jaislyn and Anthony Jr.; sister Kathie Moore Walsh, Sisters-n-law Virginia A Moore, Mary “Pat” Carr and Barbara Carr. Brothers-n-law Roger, Andy and Tommy Carr; her Aunt Marilyn McClurg, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brothers: Jim and Ron Moore, brother-n-law Larry Walsh, Sister-n-law Margaret; her Aunts Ginny and Leslie and her Uncle Charles. Going before as well, were her beloved Buddy (Brittany Spaniel) and most recent our Little Guy who became her special Friend, along with all their many special puppies and kitties over the years.
Cremation will be private. A graveside service will be held at 10 am on Thursday, July 26th at Orange County Veteran’s Cemetery 111 Craigsville Rd, Goshen NY 10924. At the convenience of the family, a Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Our Family would like to thank the Entire Staff at Highland Rehab & Nursing Center for the care that they have shown our mom from the beginning. We are forever grateful. We could not thank you enough.
