Adrian Valentin of the Town of Wallkill passed away peacefully on August 23, 2017 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, NY. The son of Luis and Carmen Liquet Valentin he was born on September 8, 1935 in Mayaquez, Puerto Rico. He was 81.
He was a resident of Town of Wallkill, NY for over 45 years. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy for six years. As a great husband, father, and grandfather, his loving wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren always held a special place in his heart. He also loved playing cards and never turned down a game.
He is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Juanita; his children, sons: Adrian and his wife, Rosenmarie of Town of Wallkill, Richard and wife, Lisa of Clairmont, FL, Eric and wife, Julie of Town of Wallkill and Walter, also of Town of Wallkill, and daughter, Jeanette and husband, Alberto Giovannelli of Kissimmee, FL. Additionally, Adrian is survived by his 14 beloved grandchildren: Adrienne, Alberto, Alexis, Angela, Brianna, Eric, Erika, Joseph, Maria, Melanie, Richard, Stephen, Tiffany, Walter and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will take place from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, August 27 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, August 28 at St. Joseph's Church, 149 Cottage St., Middletown NY.
